vorige week 'examen' meegedaan op de hondenschool, na een lange periode van coronapauze
de daaropvolgende week direct de tweede proef en alweer geslaagd
goed zo Hannah (het puntenverlies lag vooral bij het baasje)
after a long pauze we started going back to dogschool;
last week we passed the first exam and we decided to do the second as well the next week: good girl, Hannah, you did so well, you actually did better than me ;-))

BRUSSELS DOGSHOW
Vanaf 9 maand komt je jonge hond uit in jeugdklas. De vuurdoop voor ons meisje in een grote allround show. Onder keurmeester Dirk Spruyt (BE) kreeg Hannah een excellent , werd jeugdwinner én BOS (best opposite sex) of beste teef. Dat laatste is eerder uitzonderlijk, ze presenteerde zich evenwel erg netjes in de ring. De mooie blonde Duitse 2,5 j oude reu Mailo werd terecht BOB (best of breed en beste reu).
Omdat de CAC (kampioensschapspunt) niet wordt uitgereikt aan een jeugdhond, werd die doorgegeven aan de tweede teef, uit open klas.
Aged 9 months Hannah was competing in youth class. It was her first big allround show and she did really well. Judge Dirk Spruyt (Be) gave her an 'excellent' ! She became youth winner and even BOS (best opposite sex) or best female in show. Wow, because this is rather exceptional. We did like Mr BOB (best of breed), a gorgious blond 2,5 y old German boy.

rasspeciale en IHF show van de Belgische Hovawart Club : Hannah kreeg een 'veelbelovend' van de keurmeester hovawartspecialist Tapio Eerola (Fi) en werd gekozen als 'beste puppy'. Ook de zusjes kregen mooie rapportjes !

finally the certificates arrived :
Jack is the first hovawart in Canada to get the title 'champion' !
and his daughter Arya (Arwen) achieved the same title .
Such great news, Annie, thank you for showing your dogs. They are such awesome representatives of this beautiful breed. I am so proud of you and my boy.

15 weken : vanaf nu MAG Hannah eindelijk de Europese grenzen over , helemaal in orde met Rabiës vaccinatie e a , na incubatieperiode van 21 dagen HOERA WELKOM KLEINE LIEVE DRAAK.
In EU puppies can travel across the borders earliest at 15 weeks, after Rabies vacciation plus 21 days. Much too long ! FINALLY Hannah is legally allowed to be with us.

op 8 weken nemen Angelika en mama Kaelynn afscheid van de pups die naar hun nieuwe thuis vertrekken. Tussen mama en het blonde zusje zit Hannah die straks naar België mag, wat zie we er naar uit

Kaelynn is een zorgzaam moedertje, ze heeft vermoeiende uren achter de rug, maar het is een prachtnest geworden, we zijn fier op haar

Kaelynn ziet er stralend uit , ze doet het supergoed en haar buikje wordt ronder, Ze heeft 10 gezonde tepels . . . Laten we het juiste aantal pups gewoon even afwachten, hoewel de dierenarts het grote nest weer heeft bevestigd. Trots op onze 'kleindochter', maar ook een tikkeltje bezorgd want er staat haar een hele taak te wachten.

Kaelynn looks beaming, she's really doing a great job and her belly is getting rounder. Only ten nipples to feed . . . well let's just wait and see how many. The vet did confirm once more 'plenty'. So proud of our 'granddaughter', a bit concerned too , it ' ll be a real JOB for her.

op oudejaar vertrokken naar Denemarken, op de eerste dag van het nieuwe jaar vond de eerste dek voor Kaelynn met Chaplin plaats. Puppies verwacht begin maart !

Kerstkadootje van Kaelynn : ze is loops, volgende week op reis naar Chaplin in Denemarken, we vertrekken op mijn verjaardag en komen toe in 2019. Voor iedereen de beste wensen voor het nieuwe jaar en we houden jullie verder op de hoogte van het avontuurtje.

Vandaag nemen we afscheid van Sascha. Het was een voorrecht om haar te leren kennen, met haar optimisme, humor en onovertroffen strijdvaardigheid . De hovawartwereld verliest een belangrijke fokker, keurmeester, liefhebber.

I was not the only hovawart at the party, grandma, halfsister and niece, finally we could meet ;-)

Belle voelt zich vandaag niet lekker. He kan de warmte zijn, maar vermoedelijk de zwangerschap. Het is nu 8 dagen geleden dat we op bezoek bij Kenzo waren en in deze periode gaan de bevruchte eicellen migreren naar de plaats in de baarmoeder(hoorns) waar ze (hopelijk) zullen verder groeien tot embrios.
Belle is not feeling well today. She woke me up during the night to tell me. We willl let her rest a lot. It's been a week now that we visited Kenzo. It could be the temperature outside as we are having a real summer right now., but we assume the fertilized ova have now migrated to the uterus to grow further into embryos. Let us hope!

Pinkstermaandag 16 mei eerstkomend zijn we op de clubshow van de Belgische hovawart Club te Brasschaat, KV Brabo. Belle en 5 van de puppies zijn ingeschreven. Je kan ons daar komen bewonderen :-)
